Recently, a few of our dedicated volunteers visited the World War Remembrance Garden in the town centre to plant a fresh display of poppies. With the recent sunshine, they are beginning to flourish and will provide a beautiful and fitting tribute throughout the season.
Unfortunately, the original picture frame in the garden had deteriorated over the years and had become badly rotted. Thankfully, when it eventually came down, no one was nearby and no one was injured. We are pleased to say that a new picture frame will be installed, ensuring the garden remains a safe, attractive and respectful place for remembrance for many years to come
