Taylor Park

The judges’ visit to Taylor Park highlighted the important role this much-loved green space plays within the local community. They were shown the attractive planting displays, well-maintained gardens and the ongoing improvements made by dedicated volunteers and partners. The visit provided an opportunity to demonstrate how the park continues to be enhanced through community involvement, creating an attractive, welcoming and biodiverse environment for residents and visitors alike.

Caldershaw Green

The judges were then welcomed to Caldershaw Green, where they were shown around this beautiful natural green space by local volunteers. The visit showcased the excellent work that has taken place to improve access, including the new boardwalk, which allows visitors to enjoy the woodland and wetland habitats while protecting the surrounding environment. The judges also learned about the community-led efforts to enhance biodiversity, improve interpretation and create a space where nature, wildlife and people can thrive together. The passion and commitment of everyone involved has helped transform Caldershaw Green into a valued community asset enjoyed by people of all ages.
