For RBH, housing is not just about being a good landlord or simply providing bricks and mortar, it is about the provision of great homes for people and families, about improving the lives of communities and about great local neighbourhoods.

Rochdale in Bloom have supported several RBH projects to be involved in ‘It’s your neighbourhood’.

Q Gardens is a community garden run by volunteers supported by RBH to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents. The garden also provides an outdoor classroom to two local schools and a Brownie group.

Working in partnership with Tesco, RBH secured funding to improve the green spaces at our Independent Living Schemes.

Leopold Court Single Persons Homeless Scheme is an RBH funded a project for the residents to convert the raised beds around the scheme to grow produce for the kitchen. Employee volunteers worked with residents to start up the project and the RBH Activity Coordinator now runs session to show them how to cook with the produce, helping to learn new life skills.
