To commemorate Springhill Hospices’ 30th anniversary in October 2019, they created some new features in the garden. Firstly, an anniversary garden based on a labyrinth with wildflowers, herbs and prairie style planting areas, sculptures and a sweet pea arch. They also created a small carpet bed showing 30 years and the hospice logo.
They have great support from the local community. H Bell and Sons have donated to our Good to Grow programme for day hospice patients, Three Pitts allotment society has provided plants and planted up our front bedding borders for the 13th year running, young people volunteering through the National Citizen Service and Hopwood College and our team of 19 garden volunteers who so generously give their time in all weathers have all made a real difference.
