Rochdale in Bloom is celebrating a fantastic achievement after Rochdale Town Centre was awarded GOLD, named a Judges’ Highlight and crowned Category Winner at the prestigious RHS Britain in Bloom Awards.

The recognition is a tremendous honour for Rochdale and reflects the hard work, dedication and community spirit that goes into making our town centre a brighter, greener and more welcoming place for everyone.

A Triple Celebration for Rochdale

Receiving a GOLD award is an achievement in itself, but to also be recognised as a Judges’ Highlight and Category Winner makes this an especially proud moment for everyone involved with Rochdale in Bloom.

These awards celebrate far more than beautiful flowers and colourful displays. They recognise the commitment to improving our local environment, encouraging biodiversity, supporting sustainability and bringing communities together through a shared pride in where we live and work.

A Real Team Effort

Behind every colourful planter, beautifully maintained flower bed and welcoming green space are people who care passionately about Rochdale.

This success belongs to everyone who has played a part, from our dedicated Rochdale in Bloom volunteers and local businesses to community groups, partners and everyone who supports our work throughout the year.

Their enthusiasm, generosity and countless hours of hard work have helped make Rochdale Town Centre a place we can all be proud of.

Putting Rochdale on the Map

To receive such prestigious recognition from the Royal Horticultural Society is a wonderful endorsement of the improvements being made across our town centre.

It demonstrates what can be achieved when people work together with a shared vision — creating attractive public spaces, encouraging community involvement and helping Rochdale flourish.

Thank You, Rochdale!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Rochdale in Bloom and contributed to this outstanding achievement.

Whether you’ve planted flowers, watered displays, picked up litter, supported an event or simply encouraged our volunteers along the way, you’ve helped make a difference.

This GOLD award, Judges’ Highlight and Category Winner recognition belongs to the whole Rochdale community.

We couldn’t be prouder of what has been achieved, and we look forward to continuing our work to make Rochdale an even greener, brighter and more beautiful place.
